One of my favorite bloggers ever [Lauren] tagged me to play along, then one of my other favorite people [Katie] tagged me, so how could I say no?

Here are the rules:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.
4. Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. Go to their blog/twitter and tell them you've tagged them.

11 random things about me:
1.  I really, really love TV and movies.  Steven and I can go through entire seasons of a TV show in no time.  I am one of those people who can watch the same episode of show multiple times without getting bored.  I used to watch the same movies over and over too.  Some of our favorite TV shows are LOST, The Tudors, True Blood, Dexter, Weeds, Heroes, and Boardwalk Empire.  Really, they're the only reason we keep our premium channels.  But I also love Project Runway, Friends, and Real Housewives.  Ha!  I can't even begin to name my favorite movies.

2.  I was on the news with my dad a couple times.  He would promote tools and stuff for a family friend.  I would go along and be like Vanna White.  It was pretty excited for my preteen self.

3.  I don't like cupcakes.  I eat them every once in a while now, but when I got my nickncame, Katie Cupcake, in high school I never ate them.

4.  My sister used to take me to the Phoenix Art Museum.  It was probably one of my favorite things ever.

5.  I got my driver's licence a week after my 18th birthday.  I'm scared of everything.  And especially the idea of driving a weapon.  I could never fare well in prison if I accidentally killed someone.  I bruise like a peach.

6.  I have the most vivid dreams ever.  [Or the most vivid, gruesome nightmares when I'm pregnant.]  They're incredibly realistic, and I've been known to be grumpy all day at Steven over something he did in my dreams.

7.  I used to skateboard when I was in junior high.  I could only really go from point A to point B.  I always wanted to learn tricks, but I was too worried about falling and breaking something.  [Not so much for the pain factor, I have a high threshold.  But more so for the unnatural look of breaks. I need things to be "just so."]

8.  I didn't change a diaper until Paisley was born.  I know people always say it's different when it's your own baby, but it still grosses me out.  I'll be happy once Riley is potty trained.

9.  I must sleep with a fan on.  And since having Paisley and Riley, I prefer to have a sound machine [listening over the baby monitor works well too].  And if I have music without lyrics, it's even better.

10.  I almost feel uncomfortable in an outfit if I don't wear black.  I also prefer stripes over floral or polka dots or any other pattern.

11.  My favorite books when I was in elementary school were Goosebumps by RL Stine.  I feel like that explains me a lot.

Questions Lauren asked me:
1. If you had to wear skirts for the rest of your life, or jeans for the rest of your life, which would you choose?  Jeans are practical for taking care of littles, but I would choose skirts.
2. What was your favorite PBS kids show growing up?  Wishbone.  I loved dogs.  And books.  [Ironically, Steven and I were talking about Wishbone today.]
3. Who is cooler? Zack Morris or Cory Matthews?  Cory Matthews.
4. What is your least favorite smell in the world?  Eggs, especially burnt ones.
5. What's the worst injury you have ever had?  Probably perineal tears from child birth.  HELLO TMI!
6. What book have you read more than once?  Almost every book I read, I read more than once.  But right now I'm rereading The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
7. What do you take the most photos of?  My littles probably.
8. What is the first perfume you ever purchased/wore?  Pepper Blossom from urban Outfitters.  [When I was like 20.  I never was into girly things growing up.]
9. What is your ideal date?  Um.  Eating ice cream in Disneyland or Disney World with Steven.  And just Steven.  It happened twice.  On our honey moon to Disneyland and our trip to Disney World for Paisley's 2nd birthday.  It was the best.
10. Tell me your favorite thing about the state you live in.  I love how close we are to a bunch of different amazing places.  We can get to Philadelphia, Richmond, New York City, and the beach in practically no time.
11. Most frequented website?  Right now, Pinterest.  It's addicting!

Questions from Katie:
1.  Do you drink coffee and if you do, why did you start?  I don't.  I had one sip when I was 14 of some iced coffe something, and it tasted burnt.  So I swore it off forever.  [Seriously.]
2.  What is the most important quality you look for in a friend?  Honesty.  Lying is a waste of time.  It just causes drama and ugh!  I just hate it.
3.  What was your #1 favorite toy when you were young (K-4th)?  A stuffed dalmatian from 101 Dalmatians.  [Rolly, for those who are curious.]  I got him when I was 3, and I slept with him and took him every where till after I got married.  He has some bald patches and we have to color on his eyes with sharpie.
4.  Do you prefer sunshine or rain?  Sunshine.  Growing up in Arizona made me looove the sun.  Although I do like monsoon season in Arizona.  I can't stand the nonstop drizzle we get here  in Maryland.
5.  What movie can you watch over and over and never get sick of?  Inglourious Basterds
6.  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  Living in the DC area still.  We'll hopefully own a house then, and Paisley and Riley will both be in school.  I'll still be blogging.  I know a lot of people are into goals and planning the future, but I just go with the flow.  I'll end up where ever I'm supposed to be.

7.  Skype:  is it more awesome or more awkward?  It can be either.  Even with the same people.  Overall, it's awesome.  I remember fantasizing about it with my mom in Best Buy one time when I was little, and how cool we thought it would be.
8.  Who is your favorite band and what were you doing when you discovered them? I don't think I can choose a favorite band.  It really depends on the mood I am in.  But I always love Tool.  And I remember the first time I listened to them at my friend Skye's house in 8th grade.  She loooved them.  I thought they were a little too "hard" for me then.  It wasn't until I was in 10th grade that I fell in love with them.
9.  Cats or dogs?  (and don't say one is dumb and the other is great)  Ugh!  Cats are so dumb!  ;)  No really, I'm a dog person.  I used to really love all animals and wanted to be a vet.  Then something changed and bam, I love dogs.
10.  What's your favorite thing to collect?  Shoes.  [I collect a lot of things though.]

11 Questions for the people I'll be tagging.
1.  Are you one of those people who shares any recipe?  Or are you the kind that likes to keep super good recipes to yourself to impress people?
2.  If you start a movie, and you realize half way through it that you do not like it, do you keep watching or turn it off / leave?
3.  What's your favorite condiment?
4.  Do you fill up a notebook before moving onto a new one?
5.  Name one thing you're afraid of.
6.  Favorite color to wear in the spring?
7.  Favorite class you ever took in school? [elementary - college is fine]
8.  If you could only wear one color of shoes for the rest of your life, what color would you choose?
9.  What's your least favorite trend you've seen lately?
10.  Most recent book you've read?

I tag Michelle, Jeremy, Chelsea, Katherine, and anyone else who feels like playing.  :)
